As a songwriter, one of the most frustrating aspects of playing gigs in bars and clubs is the noise. The lack of attention. Muddy sound systems that cause your lyrics to get lost in the mix. The lack of intimacy.
One of my favorite parts of visiting Nashville is experiencing listening rooms. People who sit in a room listening to songwriters and artists they've never heard of, but still listening attentively. Actively. Passionately.
This is the kind of experience afforded by house shows. And that's why I'm launching a series called "Acoustic and Chill," designed to be an intimate musical experience in a friendly, intimate, comfortable environment.
I'm launching these shows in the Philadelphia area (as that is where I'm based). I'm looking for artists whose music will work in an acoustic setting, and I'm also looking for venues. These can be private homes, stores, art galleries, office spaces, etc. So, if you are an interested artist or host, or if you would like to be placed on the invite list for future shows, please fill out the form below.
